OUR TECHNOLOGY

Patented Technologies for Natural Products

Earthstone Technologies’ patented process creates industrial, horticultural, commercial, and consumer products with customizable properties from recycled bottles. Applications include media for advanced hydroponic growing systems and materials for soil aeration. Everything from green technology building materials to advanced abrasives and natural cleaning products can be created using Earthstone technology.

The waste stream of crushed bottles that would end up in the landfill is converted into products with green qualities that have desirable physical properties and cost benefits.

Our patented and proprietary manufacturing process uses up to 99% mixed bottle cullet along with natural foaming agents. Adjustments to the additives and processing give varied products the desired physical characteristics, and can control the degree of hardness and abrasiveness. Even color and scent can be customized with natural additives.

Earthstone materials offer characteristics including light weight, structural strength, durability, an ability to be laminated to other materials, and adjustable hydraulic properties.

This technology is currently being used for Earthstone’s own consumer, commercial and horticultural products, and as a component in other companies’ product offerings. There are also a number of applications under development in a variety of industries.
